2009 Patton Valley Lorna Marie2009 Patton Valley Lorna Marie

This wine keeps the Lorna-Marie tradition going strong. Reminiscent of the multitude of aromas from a fruit stand, the Lorna-Marie abounds with scents of fresh-picked strawberries, Bing cherries, rose petals, and spiced plum, with a touch of salty sea air and black pepper. On the palate, the wine shows great weight with a viscous, velvet-like texture, and layer upon layer of ripe red and black fruit flavors. This wine possesses a striking backbone of acidity, yet marries beautifully with the soft, creamy tannins, lingering with astounding length. Enjoy now or save for 5-12 years.

2009 Patton Valley Syrah2009 Patton Valley Syrah

This wine is a hedonist's dream, viscous and silky smooth. Surprisingly savory aromatics of leather and black tea quickly give way to sweeter sensations of fresh baked spice cake and cola. The 2009 is a cornucopia of mixed berries with notes of sweet black cherry and cassis. Luscious fruit, broad tannins, beautifully integrated oak and sensational acidity coalesce to create this balanced and enjoyable wine. Oregon Pinot noir is rarely enjoyed so young, so enjoy it now or cellar 4-7 years.

2009 10-Acre Pinot Noir2009 10-Acre Pinot Noir

Aromatically, our 10-Acre Pinot noir is a bouquet of chamomile, spearmint, lavender, and earl grey tea. Upon first taste, the flowers give way to a sweet berry character and fresh black cherries. As always, the 10 Acre is refined and elegant, the lady in a gown gracefully waltzing at the ball. This wine is all finesse, with a broad mid-palate containing hints of molasses, cherry, currant and flint, as well as a tamed acidity that pulls through the long, lingering finish. Drink now or cellar 4-8 years.

2009 West Block Pinot Noir2009 West Block Pinot Noir

The nose of our West Block Pinot noir displays a surprising hint of grapefruit, but is quickly eclipsed by pipe tobacco, vanilla bean, ripe cherry and a touch of peat smoke. The West Block is dark and brooding, with flavors of marionberry, plum, dark chocolate ganache and spice. The immensely broad palate is supported by lovely tannins, which create structure but don't hinder the wine's finesse and elegance. Enjoy now or cellar for 5-7 years.

2009 Wente Clone Chardonnay2009 Wente Clone Chardonnay

At Patton Valley we focus on estate grown Pinot noir, however once in a great while we get the opportunity to work with fruit that is so spectacular we simply can’t resist. Such is the case with our 2009 Wente Clone Chardonnay, grown on the Bethel Heights Estate Vineyard. Fermented in just 20% new French oak, this wine was built to show off the wonderful fruit, acidity, and minerality that Chardonnay can possess. Fragrant aromas of chamomile, vanilla, and coconut fill the glass. Flavors of honey and pear with hints of bramble and Meyer lemon make this wine alluring and seductive, but with restraint. On the palate this wine is both broad and balanced: barrel fermentation and the stirring of the lees helps to provide breadth while lively acidity lengthens the finish creating balance.

2009 Patton Valley Declassified2009 Declassified

Not all wine is meant to be serious! This is our playful Pinot noir, slightly less focused than its overachieving big sister. It trades weight and complexity for a lighter body and beautiful notes of sweet cherry, blackberry and sassafras. This wine is smooth, elegant and perfect with that Tuesday night dinner.

2008 Patton Valley Lorna Marie Pinot Noir2008 Patton Valley Lorna Marie Pinot Noir
Tanzer: 93 points

Lorna-Marie graces the glass with aromatics of plum, black cherry and lilac petals. The vibrant expression in the nose is second only to its exuberance across the palate: savory, with hints of black tea, accompanied by a lingering toasted almond sweetness. Lush and rich in the middle, this wine's bright acidity draws out the palate with a beautiful lingering finish.

The Lorna-Marie is Patton Valley's reserve wine, crafted from specially selected barrels that reflect the finest the vintage has to offer.

2008 Patton Valley Pinot Noir2008 Patton Valley Pinot Noir
Wine Spectator: 92 points

The 2008 Patton Valley Vineyard Pinot Noir is all about intensity, concentration and structure. Its nose is a pantry of dark, exotic spices, black cherries, loamy earth and spring flowers. The wine quietly announces its entry with a sleek and highly refined texture that fails to hint at the bold concentration that follows. The mid-palate is a dense and complex array of dark cherry, plum, clove, anise and molasses. With near perfect balance of fruit, acid and tannin, the vintage will likely be regarded for its longevity; the result of the vintages slow ripening. Cellar with confidence for a decade or more.

2008 10 Acre Pinot Noir2008 10 Acre Pinot Noir
Tanzer: 92 points
The 2008 Patton Valley Vineyard 10 Acre Pinot Noir has a nose of Bing cherry, spice, forest floor, chamomile tea, and a complex 'wild' character. The elegant entry calmly gives way to a broad, yet focused mid-palate that is deep with spices, earth, and mushroom flavors submerged beneath pure, bright, sweet red cherries. These flavors move across the palate unobstructed, carried by a brisk beam of red-fruited acidity that extends to the long, persistent finish. The tannins, at this youthful stage, coat the mouth like a fine coco powder and should continue to round out adding weight to the wine as it ages. 123 cases produced.
